Well Suited Devyn Morgan Books Reviews
A charming and captivating story I enjoyed from start to finish. It helped that I am also a "computer geek" and that I like learning about things I know nothing about, ie, tailoring. The combination of characters was delightful and the story moved along briskly with the right amount of comedy and tension. I'm a sucker for a happy ending and this story delivered in abundance. An honest review for a free story was never so pleasurable.
This is a intriguing book with a interesting story-line & plot. The characters are well developed and complex. There is enough drama, intrigue, verbal conflict, friendship, attractions, deceit, trust, some humor, sexual tension, lust, passion, love and a steamy scene to keep the readers interest. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and really would recommend it.
“I received a complimentary copy, so I could give my honest opinion”
Fate, karma, coincidence...call it what you will. Because of a missing cufflink CJ and Rory meet at the most unlikely time and place you could think of. This leads to one of the most adorable, sweet, and wonderful love stories I've read in quite a while.
I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this story. I loved how they had a friendship and got to know one another before they began a relationship. CJ was looking for investors in his invention that would help small businesses keep their books and track their inventory when he arrived at a business function overdressed and about to have a wardrobe malfunction. Rory sees this and takes him into the men's room where he saves the day and tailors CJ's tux to make it look better. They exchange business cards and looks. They are both attracted to each other, but they ever got the chance to act on it. CJ manages to get a meeting with an investor and needs a business to prove his invention works. CJ calls Rory and asks if he can help him with the investors and Rory thinks it is the answer to his prayers. Rory owns his own tailor shop and his bookkeeper just left on maternity leave, leaving Rory with a mess of his books. CJ offers to fix his books and they both want more, but when their relationship is called into question, they have to stay professional because the investor doesn't want the results of the trial to be tainted. So, they remain friends, but Rory decides to make CJ a suit as thanks for fixing his books. I loved this story. I loved how they had great chemistry. Great story.
I got an ARC of this book.
I was expecting something more from this book. Maybe if I had seen how long it was before I requested a copy then I wouldn't have. This is a short book. I read it in one sitting and my grandmother didn't even realize I was missing.
The basic plot is two men want each other for purely physical reasons, but they are not allowed to have each other, because of a super nosey investor. There is no reason that these men feel any attraction. They were very easily traded out for any other man in a romance novel. There was a lot of told sexual tension, but it didn't really make the page steam or feel natural. Somehow their physical attraction meant that there was romantic attraction and they pined away for each other for a whole month, oh no.
The boys were cute, the idea was cute, the book is pure fluff. The only conflict was with someone else and was resolved very easily. Everything wrapped up nicely. It was too smooth. The sex was also pretty tame. I get even more annoyed when male authors write M/M sex scenes and get them wrong. The boys suddenly needed a condom for penetration, but they had both willingly swallowed. There is no reason for a condom at this point. If either of them had STDs they would have already shared them by then. I was impressed that there was stretching on page and talk of lube. That is so rare. If the condom piece had been consistent, then I could have looked past the plain sex and the amazing detail that was given to their testicles. I never needed or wanted that much detail, but it was different from other M/M romances I have read.
There isn't anything that grabbed me. It wasn't funny, it wasn't angsty, it wasn't unique. It was nice, gentle, and fun. So if you are in the market for some fluff, which I have to admit sometimes I am, then this would be a great book for that. There is nothing that would set anyone off. There was also no real excitement. I was thankfully in the mood for something light and easy, so I enjoyed myself. It just ins't a book I would recommend to people unless they specifically said they wanted fluff.
OMG, this Author never ceases to amaze me! A must read. I did not put it down. There's quite a bit of suspense(the good kind), so romantic love story. Read it, I loved it, many thanks, Honey Bee.🐝📚💙🎶
Wish I could give10 Stars!! For this reader this was a really really good read! I have read probably 5 to 10 books by Ms. Morgan; this book by far is her best work yet. The research, the developed characters and the story line flows effortlessly into a completely believable and really great read. I will certainly be looking into more books by Ms. Morgan. An avid reader in Rock Tavern, NY.
